Database Server

Recommended Software Requirements

2 Databases hosted on a MS SQL server

While CHRID was developed on a Windows platform the code base is portable to a variety of operating system environments capable of supporting a JAVA Application Server. CHRID was designed with this possibility in mind. It is possible to run CHRID on a Linux Server with only minor modifications to account for File Path Conventions. It is also possible, though not recommended for a highly trafficked public site, to run the CHRID Databases on the MSDE Database engine.  The query conventions used are ANSI compliant, so it would also be possible to convert the system over to use another RDBMS like Oracle, DB2 or MySQL with only minor Modifications. Contact CF Webtools if you have questions about cross platform support.
